This Privacy Policy applies only to the sites contained in erosmediaworld.com operated by Company and does not cover any information collected by any other site offered by the Company and/or any subsidiaries and affiliates of the Company (collectively, “Affiliates”) or collected by any other company, unless specifically included. We may, from time to time, combine information (including, without limitation, personally identifiable information) with other information we collect from other sources, such as information received from Affiliates, marketing companies or advertisers and if we do so our use of the resulting combined information will be subject to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Company collects on this site, how we use your information and the choices you have about the way your information is collected and used. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. Your use of this site indicates that you have read, understood, and unconditionally accepted the privacy practices outlined in this Privacy Policy. In addition, please review our Terms of Use that governs your use of this site.
ELIGIBILITY
You represent and warrant that you are either the applicable age of majority, or if you are younger, that you are at least 13 and are accessing the Site with the knowledge and consent of your parent or legal guardian, who will also be deemed to have agreed to these Terms of Use. Certain parts of the Site may be subject to heightened and/or other eligibility requirements.
We may combine the information about you that we collect on our site with information available to us from other sources. For example, our co-promoters or sponsors may provide us with information, including personal information, about users that choose to participate in a promotional opportunity the co-promoter or sponsor is offering in connection with Company
Information We Collect from Your Interactions
We collect information about you in a few different ways, including when you provide it to us directly through our site and from your interaction with our site. Certain third parties may also collect information about you, either directly or from your interaction with our site.
Information You Provide to Us
When your computer or device contacts our servers (for example, when you visit this site, view an HTML e-mail, or download an interactive desktop from the site), we automatically collect site usage information. Site usage information is information that describes how our visitors use and navigate our site. It can include the number and frequency of visitors to each web page and the length of their stays, browser type, referrer data that identifies the web page visited prior and subsequent to visiting our site, the type of operating system you are using (e.g., Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android), the domain name of your Internet service provider or mobile carrier, IP address, mobile device IP address (e.g., MAC address), and unique identifiers. We also may determine the applicable technology available in order to serve you the most appropriate version of a web page, e-mail or similar service. For example, we may determine that you have installed a version of Flash, and we will then send you the appropriate Flash version of the web page rather than an HTML page.
Providing us with information about yourself is voluntary, and you can always choose not to provide certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of or participate in many of the site’s features. If you submit to Company a comment, photograph or other content to be published by Company (either online or offline), we may publish your name or other personal information in connection with publishing the content.
You can engage with our site through third party social media plug-ins and applications, such as those offered by Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat and others. You may also choose to link your account with us to third party social media sites, for example, through Facebook Connect, or sign up to receive our e-mail newsletters through your social media account. When you link your account or engage with such plug-ins or applications, you may allow us to have ongoing access to certain information from your social media account (e.g., name, e-mail address, profile photo, gender, birthday, location, your list of friends and their contact information, people you follow and/or who follow you, the posts or the ‘likes’ you make).
When you provide information to us from your social media account, it can help enable us to do things like personalize your online experience with us, and enable us to contact you through the social media sites or directly with the latest news, special offerings, and rewards. The use of your information by these third parties is governed by their privacy policies and terms. Please read them carefully.
Cookies
Like most sites, this site sometimes makes use of browser “cookies.” Cookies are pieces of information that a site either transfers to your computer’s hard drive or stores temporarily in your computer’s memory for record-keeping purposes. We may use cookies for a number of purposes. For example, we sometimes use cookies when we conduct polls, contests or sweepstakes to limit multiple responses and registrations. Or, we may use cookies to track usage patterns on the site or to analyze web activity
In addition to browser cookies, we may use Flash cookies on our site for purposes such as those previously listed above. These Flash cookies are similar to browser cookies and are used to remember settings, preferences and usage, but they are managed through a different interface than the one provided by your web browser. For information on how to opt-out of certain cookies, please review the section below entitled YOUR CHOICES: Cookies.
Web Beacons
Our web pages or e-mail messages may contain a small graphic image called a web beacon, which is sometimes also called a “clear gif,” that allows us to monitor and collect certain limited information about our users, such as the type of browser requesting the web beacon, the IP address of the computer that the web beacon is sent to and the time the web beacon was viewed. Web beacons can be very small and invisible to the user, but in general any electronic image viewed as part of a web page or e-mail, including HTML based content, can act as a web beacon. Company may use web beacons to count visitors to our web pages or to monitor how our users navigate our site, and we may include web beacons in e-mail messages in order to count how many messages we sent were actually opened or acted upon. Company uses web beacons to compile aggregate statistics about our site and our marketing campaigns.
JavaScript and Analytics
Our site may employ Google Analytics which uses a first-party cookie and JavaScript code that is stored on Google’s server to track how users interact with our site, including where they came from and what they did on our site. You can find out more about Google Analytics by going to http://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of them by downloading the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on available at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
IP Addresses
An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer or network when you are on the Internet. When you request pages from this site, our servers log your IP address. Company may use your IP address for a number of purposes, such as system administration, to report aggregate information to our business partners or to audit the use of the site.
Location Data
We may have access to certain Information about your location, such as your state, country or address, when you provide it either directly or via device information. We also may derive a general location from device information (such as an IP address).
Video and Streaming Information
We may collect information about the films, shows, and videos that you view. For example, if you view content using our site, we may collect information about your interaction with that content or service, such as the title and genre, lists you create, and searches you conduct, duration and number of views and downloads and system information related to streaming and quality.
INFORMATION COLLECTED BY THIRD PARTIES
Measurement and Advertising
We may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads on sites on which we advertise and may allow third-party advertising companies, data exchanges, traffic measurement service providers, marketing analytics service providers and other third parties (collectively, “Third Party Advertising Providers”) to serve and measure ads, perform analytics, track behavior across sites and/or collect certain information when you visit this site. Third-party advertising technology (1) uses information such as click stream information, browser type, time and date, subject of ads clicked derived from your use of this site and the sites on which we advertise to serve ads to you and (2) may use web beacons or place a unique third-party cookie or cookies on your web browser.
These Third Party Advertising Providers may view, edit, or set their own cookies, pixels and tracking technologies. The use of these technologies by these third parties is subject to their own privacy policies and is not covered by this Privacy Policy. They may also obtain information about other applications that you have downloaded to your mobile device, the mobile websites you visit, and other information about you or your device in order to help analyze and serve interest based or targeted advertising on this site and elsewhere. For more information about Third Party Advertising Providers and your ability to opt-out of targeted advertising from such third parties, please visit the Network Advertising Initiative and/or the Digital Advertising Alliance’s (DAA) Self-Regulatory Program for Online Behavioral Advertising. You can also download the free AppChoices app for control over how information about your interests is used for in-app advertising on your mobile device with participating companies. Please note that you will need to opt out on each device and each browser, and that opting-out through these programs may stop certain targeted advertising, but you will still see non-targeted ads. Opting out of interested based or targeted ads does not limit the collection of usage data for some purposes, including research, analytics and internal operations. Please see Your Choices below for additional information.
Links
Please be aware that when you are navigating our site or viewing an e-mail or other content provided by Company, you may have the opportunity to click on links that take you outside Company’s service to other sites or online content that are beyond Company’s control. For example, you may encounter links to fan sites, webmaster program participant sites, or links from sponsors or partners, which may include Company’s logo as part of a co-branding arrangement. If you “click” on the link to such a third party, the “click” takes you to a third party’s site or online content. Company has no control over and is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these sites and expressly disclaims all liability associated with your use of, and the content on, such other sites. Once you have left our site by clicking on an external link or advertisement, you should check the applicable third party’s privacy policy to determine whether they will collect personal information from you and how they will use it.
